Natural Gorgeous is the work of a fledgeling jewelry designer based in Washington, D.C. Natural Gorgeous jewelry emphasizes the unique color, texture and shape of precious and semi-precious stones. Most pieces of one=of-a-kind, with a few designs produced as limited series. Due to the natural variations in the materials, no two pieces are ever completely the same.
I purchase stones and precious metals from reputable merchants, and do my utmost to ascertain that every item is (1) genuine, and (2) as close to untreated as is feasible. Some stones, due to their inherent structural weakness, are routinely treated to stabilize them (turquoise); others are routinely heated to enhance color (many quartzes).
All silver metal in my shop is either sterling silver or Thai / Bali fine silver (which contains a higher percentage of pure silver than sterling). On the rare occasion that I may use a silver-plated or other silver-colored metal, I will disclose it in the item description. I generally use tarnish-resistant Argentium sterling silver wire. Argentium silver contains the same amount of pure silver as regular sterling (92.7%) but has a higher percentage of Germanium in its alloy, which gives it a lower propensity to tarnish.
